Plastic Envelopes

Plastic envelopes come in many forms. There are normal envelopes that have somewhat of a plastic quality to them. There are envelopes that are made out of a thin flimsy plastic that are great for mailing. There are plastic envelopes that aren't even what we would normally think of as envelopes, but instead folders. 

Sometimes when people are talking about plastic envelopes they are referring to these semi hard plastic folders that close like an envelope. People use these to organize their documents. These is a huge variety of these available. You can buy them in many different colors and patterns. Some people prefer to buy the type that are somewhat translucent so that they can see the documents that are closed within. You could use the different coors to be able to easily tell different categories of documents from one another. 

There are also plastic envelopes that are made out of a thin flexible plastic that is really great for mailing things in. They are normally called tyvek envelopes. They are great because they usually have a sticky strip that can be revealed when the paper is pulled off and once it is stuck, it is really stuck well.

These are the best type of envelopes to mail things like clothing in because the plastic will protect the item from any kind of damage or water damage that is could receive in the mail if you ever decide to sell any clothing on Ebay these are the best type of bags to use. It will also keep things from getting stained. These are actually pretty nifty. You can buy them in many different colors. This would be great if you were trying to establish a certain type of excitement or branding to associate with your company, especially if there was not much of a cost difference.

It is really good to just have a stash of these types of envelopes because any time you need to mail anything under 13 ounces and it fits in the bag. It is usually the cheapest form of mailer. It is not recommended to send something like a book in one of these bags though because you don’t know how the post office is going to handle it and you don’t want the corners of the book to get dinged up so keep this in mind when you are thinking about mailing stuff in these envelopes. 

Other Plastic Envelopes

There are also normal envelopes that are made with a small amount of plastic in them. Sometimes these are somewhat translucent and the material can convey a different type of quality than typical paper envelopes,

Clear plastic envelopes are also available and are used for packaging for store display and storing photographs and pieces of art. These are also really great for keeping cards and envelopes together and protected. They are not typically used for actual mailing. 

Try to keep plastic envelopes in mind because they can be very useful and they can offer something that people are not used to seeing.
