Laptop Rental
By aurrorra
Have you ever had your laptop breakdown when you were in the middle of something? This is one of the worst things to have happen, especially if it was work or school. Sometimes our laptop breaks and we need one fast, so we have to go with a laptop rental. There are a few things someone should consider and be prepared for when going to rent a laptop.
One of the first things to consider is price per week or month. All payment prices will have taxes added to them and then the insurance payments. You will need to be able to show proof of income, proof of where you live (a utility bill), and have at least a few references, with their addresses and phone numbers, ready for the rental place. Keep in mind, when choosing who you will use for your references, that the place where you rent from will call these people to help them verify who you are; and they will call these references if you are ever late for any payments. If you are not the owner of the place where you live, the owner of the home will probably have to go on the lease with you for the laptop, at some places.
Things to Keep in Mind With Laptop Computer Rentals
When looking for a laptop rental place keep all of your options open. You should be able to find them on the internet and in your phone book. Ask them what the average prices are to rent per week, every two weeks, and per month. Then go to each one and check out the laptop rentals. Make sure you check all of the specifications and ask plenty of questions such as how old the laptop is. Just because one place costs less does not mean that they will give you a decent laptop. The good thing is that you are not buying it, but you will want to find something that is reliable.
Make a list of everything that you want and need a laptop to do. An example would be watching movies or videos full screen. Do you want it to have a webcam or integrated wireless? Do you need to open more than two browsers or other programs at one time? Is this for work and college or just for e-mails and web searching? I would even consider the keyboard and try to find one similar to what you are used to. You want to make sure that the laptop will do everything that that you need it for.
The laptops with 2 GB of RAM in them, or more RAM, and a dual processor are a good choice for a decent amount of power and speed. They will operate better and allow you to do more than one thing at a time.
What to Look For in a Laptop Computer Rental Store
When you rent a laptop, make sure that the insurance they add into your payments cover everything from theft, accidents, even vandalism. Some places will only offer insurance coverage for acts of God, like if your house floods or catches fire, etc. It is a good idea to have insurance that covers anything that could possibly happen to the laptop you rent. If they do not want to cover anything that may happen, do not rent from them. There are some laptop rental places that offer excellent insurance, which will be the best decision for you.
Every rental place has a variety of brands for laptops: Dell, Compaq, Toshiba, Mac and more. Maybe you would like one that is the same brand as yours. Most places will find one that you prefer from another store connected with their store if they don't have it.
RentingĀ a laptop online can make things a bit easier because you won't have to try across town to find a rental place. The laptop will just come to your door. There may even be some places that have online stores that are in your city that will deliver the laptop to you.
